Traditional power washing can actually damage your patio or walkway pavers when done with a wand/nozzle setup. Ideal Landscaping utilizes a power washing disk that disperses water flow to prevent damage to the pavers. Even if cleaning is done safely, it removes the sand between the pavers leaving the pavers vulnerable to weather, weeds and damage. Professional re-sanding of the paver joints after surface has been cleaned and thoroughly dry is necessary and will restore your patio to like-new condition. To do it right, cleaning and sanding is a two step process and is weather dependent.
Sealing pavers is a great way to protect paver surfaces from the effects of UV light and weather. However, weather can make planning this service difficult. Pavers must be fully dry prior to sealing. Both temperature and precipitation can interfere with this restoration process so it is best to work with a professional patio company to ensure the proper conditions are met. Sealing your pavers has it’s pros and cons and we recommend you discuss this with a professional paver installer before you make a decision.
